Sarah Crotty

Sarah Crotty is 22 years of age and her Irish heritage is deeply rooted on both sides of the family. Her maternal grandmother was born and raised in Belfast. While working in Dublin, she met my grandfather, who was a Canadian working in journalism. They moved between Canada and Ireland before settling in Montreal with their three daughters.

Sarah’s favorite hobbies include travelling and photography (inspired by her dad). Many summer vacations were spent flying to Ireland to visit family. She even had the opportunity to live with family in Cork city for 6 weeks after graduating from Dawson College.

Sarah is passionate about her volunteer work and has been with the Myra’s Kids Foundation for the past 4 years. This foundation provides free support and services to children and teens who are grieving the loss of an important person in their life, such as a parent or sibling. She understands the importance of this foundation after she was a camper herself at the age of 15 after losing her older brother and she is honored to give back to these families.

Sarah is currently Captain and the Communications Officer of the Montreal Shamrocks Camogie team for the 2025 season. She has represented the Montreal Shamrocks in the Eastern Canadian GAA Championships, and her goal is to earn a position on Team Canada at the GAA World Games this summer in Waterford.

Sarah is studying Microbiology and Immunology at Universite de Montreal and will be graduating this May. She is excited to continue her involvement in the Irish Community as this year’s Parade Queen!
